Online education program

Acute Care Genomics eLearning modules

In 2021, the Acute Care Genomics program delivered a comprehensive online education program. Case-based learning principles were applied across online modules and a virtual workshop, with content tailored to a non-genetics audience.

These modules are for information only and are no longer being updated/monitored.

Modules

Module 1 ~30 min · Self-paced

Rapid Genomics in the NICU / PICU

Work through real-world cases of critically unwell infants and children to understand when rapid genomic testing is indicated, and how results change clinical management.

Module 2 ~25 min · Self-paced

Rapid Genomics in the NICU / PICU

Follow a family through pre-test counselling, consent and return of results in the acute setting including uncertain findings and implications for relatives.
